Boat2Fish
The Drop Keel is an original invention for the Boat2Fish Seigur boats. It works its wonders when the boat is
going slowly. Then it prevents drift and improves steering and control.

When the boat is going fast an planing on the ocean the drop keel is up
and adds no negative effect on the streamlined underside of the boat.

When needed at slow speeds the drop keel is dropped down immediately
adding to the stability and control of the boat.

The first drop keep was produced for a Boat2Fish 1000 boat that was
bought in the Faroe islands. The boat was at the fishing industry show
in Iceland in September 2002 and was then sailed to the Faroe Islands
and delivered to the buyer in Kollafjordur. The cruise of 376 oceanic
miles broke the record by taking only 15 hours with an average speed of
25 oceanic miles.
