Mega Yacht – Turmoil In Reykjavik Harbor

by thrandur

The Turmoil has to be one of the largest of the luxury mega yachts. At the length of 63.84 meters (209 feet) and beam of 10.12 she has plenty of space for a number of nice accessories. Turmoil is made by Royal Denship in 2006 and constructed of steel and aluminum .

Today it is sitting quietly in the harbor of Reykjavik city. A long way from the George Town island in the Caribbean where it is registered.

Mega Yacht - Turmoil

The Turmoil is owned be an unidentified millionaire. A beautiful yacht in every sense of the word. At front I could make out a nice speedboat with a special crane to get it out in the water when needed. But what is this sitting on top?

Mega Yacht - Helicopter

That’s right – a well packaged and thoroughly protected full size helicopter!

Turmoil from the side. She has been sitting here for a few days now. Apparently she came here from Newfoundland. Where she is heading next is anybody’s guess but with a range of 6500 miles the options are open.

With two Caterpillar 3516B-A2 engine to move her up to 16 knots from a cruising speed of 14.5 knots.

Mega Yacht - George Town Flag

The Cayman Island Flag decorates the aft.

Bon Voyage!
